As part of my Senior Portfolio class at IWU, I was given a “dream project” assignment. We were told to pursue any sort of artistic project we desired, as long as it held meaning to us. I chose to draw inspiration from my time on the IWU Theatre Guild’s PR Team, and reimagine what my favorite podcast (Malevolent, created by Harlan Guthrie) would look like as a stage production, a book, and an album. So, I decided to create a poster, a book jacket, and a jewel case insert. Taking cues from publishing trends in each of the aforementioned industries, I settled on a few designs I thought truly captured the spirit of Malevolent.
